Our Environmental Contribution Fee

At Zoom,  we believe that looking after our hair shouldn’t come at the expense of our planet. That’s why we partner with Green Circle Salons, an organization helping the salon industry reduce its environmental footprint through more sustainable practices.

A $2.50 Environmental Contribution Fee is added to each client’s bill to help make these changes possible.

 

Here’s what your contribution supports:

• Less waste in landfills: Green Circle collects salon waste such as hair clippings, foils, and colour tubes, helping divert materials from landfill and explore opportunities for recycling and repurposing.

• Giving hair a second life: Hair can be repurposed for innovative uses, including materials designed to help absorb oil from water during spills.

• Greener salon practices: The first $1.25 of the fee supports Green Circle’s recycling and collection program. The remaining $1.25 stays with Zoom to help fund our own environmental initiatives and more sustainable salon practices.

 

We know that small changes, when made collectively, can have a meaningful impact. This partnership is one way we’re taking responsibility for the waste our industry creates and working toward a more sustainable future.
